Heart of Darkness

1. He talks about his industry of the shipping. He discusses how there were ilks in the countries and that it was not well organized.

2. I think he means that when people are different from ourselves, we are allowed to control them, and we justify it by saying that they are different than us. It's like he's trying to justify it but he really doesn't believe in it himself.

3. He wanted to be the first to explore these places. They are where he wanted to go and what he wanted to see. When other people now live there it shows that the world expands and these places that were once big black spots are now being explored and modernized.
